Student Accomplishments

Mr. Flonta's private violin students have been recognized locally, state wide, nationally and internationally.

 

Some of the students accomplishments include:

 

  • 2020 - 2021 Boston Youth Orchestra - Repertory Orchestra Concerto Competition won by Alette Williams - Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.

  • Massachusetts Southeastern Music Festival - Concert Master, Assistant Concert Master, first and second Violin positions won by audition.

  • Massachusetts All State Music Festival - First and Second Violin positions won by audition.

  • All Cape Music Festival - Concert Master Position.

  • Cape Cod Conservatory Scholarship Competition - 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 - 5 out of 6 scholarship won by Mr. Flonta's students.

  • ​The Chatham Music Club - Classical Music Merit Scholarship - 2013 and 2014.

  • Boston Youth Symphony - Junior Repertory Orchestra violin positions won by audition.

  • Boston Youth Symphony -  Repertory Orchestra violin positions won by audition.

  • ​Houston Youth Symphony Orchestra violin positions won by audition.

  • Participation to Cape Symphony Pre Concert recitals and Conservatory Recitals.

  • Participation by invitation to Master Classes held by Heather Goodchild, Laura Manko, Nicholas Kendall and Lindsay Deutsch.

  • Cape Symphony Youth Orchestra - Concert Master, Assistant Concert Master, Principal Second Violin, first and second violin positions won by audition.

  • Cape Conservatory Practice-A-Thon winners - 2012 and 2013.

  • Participation to Massachusetts Suzuki Festival, Hartt Suzuki Institute and Ithaca Suzuki Institute.

  • ​New England Conservatory Preparatory School Orchestra - Positions won by audition.

  • ​Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall nominations.

  • ​Manhattan School of Music Precollege - students accepted by audition.

  • Mr. Flonta's students have been accepted to world renowned Colleges and Universities. Some examples are - The Royal Conservatory of Music, London, England, Tufts University, Boston, MA, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA.
